Karon Beach

Karon beach is a long sandy stretch with powdery white sand.  It's a great beach if you like space between fellow beach visitors.

Karon beach is not the best Phuket beach for kids as there is not too much shade nor are there many facilities actually on the beach. You will need to cross a main road to get the main Karon drag where there are planty of restaurants and shops.  However at 3 miles long and with lots of deserted spots it is definitely worth a visit during the cooler parts of the day. If you're lucky you may spot a sea turtle! Sunloungers and parasols are available.
