Laem Singh Beach

Laem Singh is one of Phuket's places to be seen and is often referred to as the 'Italian beach' - great food and lots of fun to be had.

Due to its location Laem Singh is not recommended for smaller children as you do have to hike down some steps. Parents of smaller children will need to carry them up again which is no easy task. The beach is situated between Kamala and Surin and you need to look for the sign at the bend in the road for parking. The bend is at the top of the hill between Kamala and Surin. Parking is usually around 40 THB per car. You will then see the pathway down which you need to go.

When you do arrive you will discover a fabulous little beach buzzing with atmosphere. Watersports are available during high season with excellent snorkelling and body boarding opportunities.  Shade is not great so you will need to rent a sunlounger and parasol set.  Sunloungers may be hard to come by in high season when this small beach can get very busy. Unsuprisingly Italian cuisine is in abundance at Laem Singh along with many Thai dishes. Parents can also indule in a massage at one of the beach salas. Older teens should also experience a Soundwave Sunday which is  a weekly party held during high season at the Laem Singh Lounge Bar.
