Nui Beach
Nui or Ya Nui beach is a gem of a beach. A sheltered cover with watersports available and rock pools to explore. A really natural treasure of a beach.
Nui beach can be found either by driving south over the hill from Nai Harn or from following the Rawai road to the end and go straight when the road bears round to the left. Parking is best opposite the beach where a small fee is normally charged. There are sun loungers available along with kayaking, snorkelling and fishing. There is a small amount of shade provided by trees on this 300m beach so you may be better renting a sunbed set with parasols. There is a very local small friendly Thai restuarant serving delicious fried rice and other Thai dishes, the menu is in English. The restaurant also has cold drinks, snacks and ice-creams.
Snorkelling s generally good with equipment available for hire on the beach. Ya Nui is a great beach to visit at the end of the day when - if conditions are right - you will see paragliding overhead. The paragliders quite often land on the beach when they've finished. Smaller kids will enjoy exploring the rock pools but again this is probably best done at the end of the day when it is cooler.
