Hi Charles,

Yes a 3 year olds bike is exactly what I need. Great thanks for the info. We do have adult bikes but will check out the Talang shop as ours are pretty old now.

Cheers,
Kirstie

What type of bike are you looking for?

The Bike shop that I use the most is the Talang Bike shop.

It is located in Talang on the Outbound lane. The land Mark I use to locate it is on the opposite side of the road there is a Long brick wall painted cream/orange/pink, just about as that wall runs out the Bike shop is located on the opposite side.

There are some children's bikes there but most will be for Tweens, Teens and Adults. Mountain bikes, road bikes and the like.

I did get a mountain bike mounted with a child seat on the back for my wife there.

If you are looking for a small new bike with training wheels (say for a 3+ year old) any of the big box stores will do. (Tesco, Big C, Carefour) Super sport in central also has a selection.

Before you buy though check the breaks and make sure the training wheels work properly. The one we bought for our daughter (then almost 3) the training wheels were so low that the back tire did not make contact with the ground. I had to adjust it my self at home. (easy fix all you need is a spanner =)

I heard that there is a bike shop in Phuket town. Not sure where though. Failing that Carre Four in Jung Ceylon has a selection.
